GALLAGHER AT LITTLE THEATER ON THE BAY

WE WERE SO GLAD TO HAVE COURTNEY AND THEO COME FOR A VISIT THIS WEEKEND! AND WE GOT TO MEET DUKE, WHO IS EVEN MORE ADORABLE IN PUPPY THAN HE IS IN THE PICTURE OF HIM. WE WENT TO SEE GALLAGHER AT THE LITTLE THEATER ON THE BAY IN NORTH BEND LAST NIGHT. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO MAY NOT HAVE HEARD OF HIM, HE IS THE ONE WHO IS KNOWN FOR HIS SLEDGEOMATIC. HE USES IT TO SMASH FOOD AND SEND IT FLYING OUT INTO THE AUDIENCE. I KNOW, THIS SOUNDS JUVENILE, BUT IN THESE TOUGH TIMES, IT IS SO NICE TO GET AWAY FROM THE WORRIES AND JUST LAUGH YOUR...BOTTOM OFF! IT WAS A LOT OF FUN. THEO, COURTNEY AND I HAD PLASTIC PONCHOS, JUST IN CASE, BUT RALPH WANTED TO TOUGH IT OUT. YEAH, THAT WORKED WELL FOR HIM. I WAS VERY GLAD I CHOSE TO USE MY PONCHO, AS I WATCHED WATERMELON, JELLO AND SAUERKRAUT COME FLYING AT ME AND LAND ALL OVER ME. IT WAS HYSTERICAL! HIS COMEDY IS COMEDY WITH PURPOSE. HE WANTS YOU TO LEAVE HIS SHOW THINKING ABOUT THINGS YOU NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT BEFORE. LIKE, " WHY ARE THERE SO MANY FRENCH WORDS IN OUR AMERICAN LANGUAGE?" AND WHY, " DO THEY CALL IT LIPSTICK IF A WOMAN CAN STILL TALK?" OK, HE CAN BE A LITTLE OFF COLOR, BUT IT WAS VERY FUNNY, AND AS I MENTIONED, A NIGHT OF LAUGHTER WAS JUST WHAT THE DOCTOR ORDERED.

A DAY TO PLAY ON THE MOUNTAIN

The old gal sure misses romping around up in the mountains. It has been a long time since we took her swimming. She is the best little hunting rig!

So even though I know we are all counting the days until summer, all of this recent rain does bring some blessings, we took a trip up the mountain the other day and enjoyed all the beautiful waterfalls, they were all over the place. We also took the Bronco for a little swim, it was a well deserved break and a fabulous day. We sure do have some great memories up that mountain.

So we just made it to the hotel in Salem, Tiffany and the team had a disappointing loss in their first game today but they have one more shot at it tomorrow. Good luck girls, we know you have been working hard! Remember to have fun!!!!!!!

Aren't I the cutest puppy in the world????????????? Courtney and Theo are coming to visit next week and we look forward to seeing them. And we get to meet the new little one in their lives, not sure what the name is, but he/she? is so cute!

HERE IS TIFFANY'S FREE THROW SHOT GOING IT!

She did very good and the team won, most likely they are off to the state championship! The game started out rough, but the coach is very good at "motivating" them and they came out on the court after half time a different team. Tiffany is the only player we know who can get knocked on her you know what over and over again and always come up smiling, and what a beautiful smile it is! Keep it up Tiffany, and keep on having FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The picture of the boat is the boat that Ralph had been working on up in Toledo. Looks good! He does good work.

Congratulations Courtney and Theo! We are happy to hear of your engagement and pray you will have a blessed and successful marriage!

I hope those of you who enjoy Supper Bowl Day enjoyed the game today. I had my nose in a book all day, but I am pleased to report that I got all my assignments done and feel confident that I will get good results on them. Since I dropped my Psychology class I have had more time to catch up and really focus on the three remaining classes. In one class I am asked to research several other careers choices to see if there might be something else out there I may be interested in. I really thought that would be a waist of time because "I REALLY WANT TO BE A NURSE" well, turns out I am very interested in Occupational Therapy and am researching that as a strong possibility. I think it is a perfect match for my skills and values and how I see myself in 3 - 5 years.

I am definitely having fun learning new things and learning new things about myself. Thank you everyone for all of your support!

I have found it hard to get to church on Sundays because of all the studying I have to do, but today I was able to hear our pastors sermon on line and that was very nice. I know I don't have to be in a church to worship the Lord, I do that where ever I am at. One of today's messages was to not make promises we cant keep and to keep the promises we do make. So know that when I say I am praying for you all, know that I am. Praying for Josh and Teri and the girls, that they continue to grow healthy and happy and that Josh and Teri continue to be strong. For Stan and Sara and for the upcoming blessing that will bring them another son and Roman a little brother.
And for my kids, that they continue to love the Lord and grow in God's favor. Praying for mom and dad's health and security. Also, Ralph will be out of town all week again working on fixing that boat in Toledo, pray for his safety and is speedy completion of this boat.

DAY AT THE BEACH

We had a great day at the beach today. It was nice to get away from the books for a short while. And we came home and had a nice nap to refresh me for another long night of studying. Someone made a really cool fort out of drift wood on the beach nearby and we went exploring it today. You have to walk over the tons and tons of drift wood over the river to get to it. And of course Aaron was the one to fall in and Bethany was the one to get her foot stuck. There was someone in the fort not too long before we were beacuse inside there was a fire still smoldering. Aaron was fiddling with the fire sending smoke up into the sky thru the opening in the roof and just then the Coast Gaurd flu over head. We thought they were going to stop and investigate us, but they just moved on. It is illegal to have a fire on that part of the beach. I am very thankful to live here, It is such a beautiful area.
Aaron absolutely hates getting his picture taken so when he sees this he wont be too happy with me, but oh well.
Our other two childredn up at the top right are Sissy and Angel. A picture like this one only lasts for about five minutes before one starts hissing at the other and all hell breaks out. So shots like this one are precious and few and far between.

TIFFANY'S OWIE

Tiffany had quite a weekend, Myrtle Point played Cascade Christian in Salem Friday night and then Reedsport Saturday, at Myrtle point. I bet she will be sleeping all day today. They won both of their games and Tiffany played great. She is a sophmore this year and because of her hard work and determination, she gets alot of playing time and it has paid off. She is showing lots of confidence and starting to take chances she never would have last year. I absolutetly love watching her play, her smile is beaming when she is out on the court. I am very proud of her. She did have a little incident with her finger however, above is a picture of her coach rendering first aid courtside.

When Reedsport and Myrtle Point play each other we just love it! Tiffany has many friends in Reedpsport and she enjoys being able to see them when their teams meet. Becka is one of her very best friends and she is a very good little player on the Reedsport team. Sometimes I confuse the crowd and make them mad because I am cheering for both girls! We have to sit kinda in a neutral spot so it is not so obvious!

Tiffany # 12 and Becka #14! Go girls!

By the way, the good looking man holding his proud kill is my wonderful husband. Ralph is an advid bow hunter. He is especialy excited because he just purchased a year round pass to shoot the 3D range at Mountain View Farm in Lakeside Oregon. Any bow hunters in the area should go check it out, well worth the cost, and Ralph's skills have improved a lot.

Even though I should be studying, we plan to go to the beach today for a bit, it is raining, of course, so we will be wet and cold when we get back, but I hope it will give me a second wind so I can dive back into my homework.
